NFU CALLS FOR AGRICULTURE MINISTER RITZ’S RESIGNATION

Saskatoon, Sask. - The NFU is calling for the resignation of Agriculture Minister

Gerry Ritz, after a Federal Court judge ruled that he broke the law when he introduced Bill C-18 into Parliament without holding a farmer plebiscite. 

“Minister Ritz has disregarded the majority opinion of Western Canadian farmers.  He has broken the law.  We expect more of a Minister of the Crown.  It is time for Gerry Ritz to resign,” stated NFU President Terry Boehm.
